Zino Pece is a painter based at his studio in Penclawdd. Here, he produces paintings of an experimental and contemporary nature. For many years he has been exploring and developing techniques with new paints and materials that have become more available. With a predominant use of fluid acrylics, he also aims to characterise an ethereal quality to the work with the inclusion of metallic and other less traditional colours. Although abstract, these paintings are often landscape analogous. Pece is greatly influenced by nature, his faith and life experiences. He has exhibited widely throughout the UK, including the Glynn Vivian Museum in Swansea and MOMA Wales. His work is held in private collections throughout Britain and abroad.
