Predominantly an abstract landscape painter, Helen is interested in the relationship between land, air and water; the blurred or sharp edges where they meet, how one can change another and how immersive seemingly unremarkable landscapes can be with time spent in them.
Primarily working on large scale canvases with oil, Helen also produces smaller works on board and more recently studies in ink on paper and paper lithography.
'Working at this scale has given me a new freedom of expression in the form of mark making, working with the soft fluidity of the ink and creating monochrome imagery.' Helen lives and works in Mumbles, South Wales.
